What is red light therapy?
Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, exposes the body to specific wavelengths of visible red and near-infrared light. The Radiance Panel uses 660 nm red light, which works at the skin surface, and 850 nm near-infrared, which reaches deeper tissue.
How far should I sit from the panel?
Six to twelve inches suits most sessions. Closer gives more light to a smaller area; further covers more of the body. Start further away and move closer as you get comfortable.
How long is a session?
Ten to twenty minutes per area, most days of the week. The built-in timer switches the panel off automatically. More is not better; consistency is.
Is it safe for my eyes?
The panel is low-EMF and flicker-free. Near-infrared light is not visible, so avoid looking directly into the LEDs; close your eyes or wear light-blocking glasses for face sessions.
Who should not use red light therapy?
If you are pregnant, take light-sensitising medication or have a medical condition, speak with your physician first. A wellness device, not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
